Miffy could well be the second most famous rabbit in the world after Bugs Bunny and she could well be mistaken to be of recent Japanese origin.
Truth be told, Miffy was created by Dutch artist Nick Bruna and she made her first appearance in a picture book written and illustrated by him way back in 1955.
Since then Miffy has appeared in a series of some 30 picture books, two television series and even a full-length movie. And, she is now popping up every where in various manners such as toys, figurines, clothes, table lamps, utensils, stationery and household items.
