Memories of Happiness

A beautiful sunset, or a cup of coffee at Starbucks, might well take your breath away and inspire you.

But, there is nothing quite like the touch of happy human relationships. And, all the more so as our environment become more de-humanised with the intrusion of technology such as robots and artificial intelligence.

Would you rather share your thoughts and feelings with a cyborg or a real person?

Yes, as wonderful as human relationships could be, they could also hurt you when the interaction is soured through misunderstanding, neglect, immaturity, etc.

In such a situation, the least you could do is to hold yourself together and maintain your own dignity and worth. Yes, in the eyes of your Creator, God Himself, you are delightful and loved for who you are, regardless.

And, remain patiently hopeful on the wing of prayers for a new day to dawn and that you would enjoy your days in the sun once again.

Click here for Memories for the Cats musical with the following lyrics:-

Midnight, not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight, the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Every street lamp seems to beat
A fatalistic warning
Someone mutters and the street lamp sputters
And soon it will be morning

Daylight, I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes, tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Burnt out ends of smoky days
The stale, cold smell of morning
A street lamp dies, another night is over
Another day is dawning

Touch me, it's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me, you'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has begun

May you find a refreshing human touch to warm your heart and put the sparkles back in your eyes again in the fullness of time soon. Amen.
