In 1945 during World War II, Anna Jarmics was living in war-torn Hungary with her siblings.
One day a grenade landed near them and she picked it up with the aim of tossing it away to protect her brothers and sisters. Alas, it exploded in her hands, mangling both her hands.
Fast forward, she now lives in Canada. Click here to see how Anna play darts and competitively at that.
