Take Care of the Most Important Person In Your Life

You've gotta take care of the most important person in your life -- you. Taking a leaf from Lucille Ball, "Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world."

You may well have been caught up with the busyness of life and have neglected to spend time alone to recharge and reboot. Some people have their quiet moment in the morning over breakfast while reading the morning news. For some others it would in the evening where they review the events that have transpired during the day and reflect on how they may have done things differently and better, at that. For a mother with a new baby, it would be when the child is snoozing.

The well-being of your soul (heart, mind and feelings) need to be safeguarded as it defines who you are and provides the sustaining power for you to do life with meaning and purpose. That said, taking care of your physical body with proper nutrition, adequate sleep and physical  exercises also require your due care and attention.

Here are some further insights on your mental and emotional needs as adduced by reflectd.co:

"According to Self-determination theory, human beings have three basic psychological needs: a need for autonomy, competence, and relatedness.

Self-determination theory defines autonomy as behaving with a sense of volition, endorsement, willingness, and choice; competence as mastering one’s environment; and relatedness as feeling related to others in one way or another (Gagné & Deci, 2014)."

When you have a healthy well-being, you will naturally arise to fulfill your calling or 'do your thing' by being a producer of something. Everyone has an inherent gifting or talent which has been hardwired into their being. For example, singing, dancing, photography, love for nature, etc.

May you take care of all the hygiene factors of your well-being and find your voice to produce for your world something that makes life sweeter and more enjoyable for somebody else.
