Hunt For Your Dream

Tom Clancy's debut thriller, "The Hunt For Red October", drew in CIA agent, Jack Ryan, as well as both the USSR and US navies in their pursuit of Captain Marko Ramius who successfully defected to the US with his 'Red' submarine after a decoy submarine was blown up to avert a breakout of war.

When it comes to hunting for truffles (aka 'edible gold'), the Italian  Lagotto Romagnolo breed is the topdog.

Closer home, what is the dream that you are hunting for?

Reckless Love of God

In Christendom, it is well recognised that God is love; He is the source of love. Two Scripture verses that comes to mind are as follows:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 (NKJV)

"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10 (NKJV)

But, when you hear that God may actually be reckless in His love towards us, you could well sit up to listen and reflect on why it may not be preposterous, after all.

Grow Your Inner Circle

Money, time and energy are three vital resources needed for life. A young person may have lot of energy and time, but not money while an adult may have energy and money, but lack time due to the busyness of working life. As for the elderly, they may have the money and time, but sorely depleted of energy.

The problems are not the lack of energy, money and time. Their lack is the consequence of poor choices (e.g. diet), lifestyle (e.g. spendthrift) and inadequate skills (e.g. taking on too many things and not being able to prioritise).

Giving energy (e.g. energy-boosting drinks), winning the lottery and taking leave to compensate for long working hours do not solve the underlying problems. Jarringly, many who have won the lottery do not have the inner capacity to manage and sustain their windfall.

The solution to address the lack of resources such as energy, money and time is to grow your inner circle to support your triangle of energy, money and time.

As your inner circle grows, you will be able to expand your triangle. So invest in yourself. Build your faith in God, uphold your character uncompromisingly, get creative to explore new possibilities, and develop your personal and interpersonal skills.

Personal growth is the key to solving the lack of energy, money and time.

Be Inspired To Pimp Your Motorcycle

The following is just a refreshing take on how you can soup up your motorcycle and enjoy your ride even more by making a fashion statement on wheels.

Conquering Your Mountain

The following obstacle is based on the Chinese character for shan, which means mountain.

What is the mountain before you? It can be conquered if you can find the right person with the means to help you or if you keep doing what you can, bit by bit, until you find your breakthrough.

Keep exploring possibilities, stay positive and visualize your conquest of your mountain daily. The winds of change is in the air. Remove your personal doubts, stay strong and courageous.

Things will turn around for you as you keep believing; your tenacity will outlast  and move your mountain.

Ain't Too Young To Drive an Audi TT RS

The market for baby formula milk is competitive in Singapore as producers gets creative to capitalise on the kiasuism (which is the 'fear of losing out', colloquially) among parents who are keen to maximise the potential of their precious offspring by giving them a head start in the marathon of life.

The human race keeps progressing, by and large, notwithstanding areas of neglect and deterioration. The best is yet to be.

Plant with Inspired Pots

One the unique selling proposition for Tumbleweed which can be gleaned from their website is as follows:

"We are an independent plant emporium. We sell plants, planters and accessories with one thing in common – they look and make you feel good. It's our mission to inspire others to make their interior spaces greener and more beautiful. And we want to help you do that as stylishly as possible!"

De-stress with Greeneries

Looks can be deceiving when you see all those potted plants blooming lushly with apparent ease.

Truth be told, if you do not have green fingers or some gardening sense, those same vegetation will wilt under your hands. Have a go and you will know whether you have what it takes to be an urban gardener.

Complaining Impedes Your Progress

When you hear someone starts to complain, the room darkens figuratively and your enthusiasm gets drained.

Catch yourself complaining and learn to hold your tongue which can steer a ship like a rudder or set fire to a forest. The book of Proverbs even asserts that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Learn from Terri Savelle Foy on how to avoid the trap of complaining as she shares some nuggets of wisdom such as the following:

"Complaining is a subconscious way of expressing you are powerless to change your circumstances."

"When you complain, you remain."

"A grateful heart is a a magnet for miracles."
