Charming Parakeets

The pastel colours to the fluffy feathers of these parakeets are somewhat unusual and make them surreal.

Hello! Welcome to our world.

We may not have the freedom of flight, but we are
well-fed and protected from predators.

Our motto is: Be Pleasant & Happy!
(Misery makes for bad company.)

Let's hope that these feathered friends would find home in an aviary some day soon when their owner comes around to it.

In any case, this is one exhibit to stretch our imagination and perspective, and perhaps make us wanna wander to Chan Brothers and check out some travel deals.

Great Taste Comes To Those Who Wait

Fried carrot cakes are plentiful in Singapore. There are two varieties -- with or without dark sauce. And, they would be broadly classified as good, better and best.

Going by the long queue alone at the following fried carrot stall located at Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre, it has to among the best. These pictures were taken on this Saturday morning, but the queue was just as long even at lunchtime.

Nutritional value aside, this is one plateful of morsels that is obviously worth the wait to the initiated. If you can stand the wait, why not join the queue and taste what you are missing out!

For the foodies, you might be interested to know that according to Rubbish Eat Rubbish Grow blog's article "Best Fried Carrot Cake in Singapore: After Eating 58 Plates of Both White & Black", this Clementi stall ranks #36.

Wok-ing masterfully to satiate the long queue of followers

By now, you can imagine what the queue and waiting time would look like for the higher ranked fried carrot stalls!!

Fancy a Helmet Umbrella?

Not sure what to make of the following umbrella, but it is certainly eye-catching and a conversation piece -- well, sort of.

For starters, it offers a 270 degree protection for your head (hairdo) and may serve as a camouflage when walking through the bushes.

Might end up getting wet on your sides though as the diameter seems lesser than the run-of-mill brollies.

The Path to SUCCESS

With each new day, based on what your have learned from experiences in the University of Life, you are one step closer to graduating with success.

Chew on these and be refreshed:

SUCCESS is the result of good judgment.

GOOD JUDGMENT is the result of experience.

EXPERIENCE is the result of bad judgment.

In essence, your setbacks can path your comebacks towards success. So, don't ever give up and work on till you are happy with your endeavours even when the going gets tough.

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being happy and pumping up positive energy.
