Society for Responsible Bike Sharing

The e-buzzword is still growing and has now extended to bike-sharing in Singapore and elsewhere.

This is a boon to those who disdain the bother of owning a two-wheeler but would not mind accessing one occasionally so as to get from point A to B with relatively ease than walking while enjoying the ride.

The jury is still out as to whether this will become entrenched. For now there are already many reported cases of abuse against this machine gone unpunished.

Another e-bike bites the dust :(
However, it would be a matter of time before public outcry toward such insensitivity to private property of the e-bike companies would build up and we could well have a movement such as Society For Responsible Bike Sharing. The rules of law and order would come to bear.

Meanwhile, our romance with the bicycle would not be stymied.

These newcomers are in great shape and raring for rides
"Throughout human history, in any great endeavour requiring the common effort of many nations and men and women everywhere, we have learned - it is only through seriousness of purpose and persistence that we ultimately carry the day. We might liken it to riding a bicycle. You stay upright and move forward so long as you keep up the momentum." -- Ban Ki-moon

"Education is a continual process, it's like a bicycle... If you don't pedal you don't go forward." -- George Weah

"Life is like a ten speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use." -- Charles M. Schulz

Now, if someone would care to share Raleigh's Chopper with me I would raise a toast to this era of the sharing community. It would bring me back to my childhood neighbourhood when they were all the rage.
