The Power of a Decision

The freedom to choose is empowering. In spite of external limitations you will, by and large, still have room enough to manoeuvre and make a choice.

Even more potent than the freedom to choose is the power of making an informed decision after due diligence and careful consideration. You cannot underestimate the power and focus of a made-up mind.

The problem lies with not knowing what to choose and being flaky or ambivalent about what you have supposedly chosen. When you are double-minded, you will deplete your energy and  not be able to achieve any target as there is none to aim for or to start with.

First thing first: Make a wise decision. A bad decision is worse than no decision. Your progress in life thus far has been the sum of your decisions, be they good or lousy. Learn from your past mistakes and make better decisions, moving forward.

So, have you decided on:

* Which new year resolutions for 2019 you are sticking with and following through so that you can have yourself a good report by year-end?

* Starting your preparation for your next career move?

* How to develop your niche and legit 'money tree' or 'cash cow', for real?

* Which relationships you would like to cultivate and build on?

* Having a positive outlook towards life in all circumstances -- walk the talk and talk the walk?

* Being a producer by turning the commons things in your life with ingenuity and efforts into something extraordinary even though you ain't living in Avery Island (which is a salt dome best known for its Tabasco sauce)?

Once you have decided, you will find your second wind and propel to greater heights of progress and achievement. You will become unstoppable because you know what you want and you are working towards it with persistence.

The sea will part for you. When you face a mountain you do not turn back, but will use your equipment to make a route through or around it. Suddenly, you will find that the universe is conspiring with you to see that you succeed.

In the words of Jack Ma (the other famous Jack now, besides Jack and the Beanstalk), "Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine".
