Mascot for Covid-19

If there is a call for mascots to represent our fight against Covid-19, I would not hesitate to nominate the following robot which was stationed strategically next to the entrance of a childcare centre.

From the looks of it, we are reminded to:

a) Do the fist bump rather than shake hand; and

b) Wear our mask responsibly.

Thumbs up to the management of the childcare centre if this is the intended message.

SevenFriday (7F)

A SevenFriday watch holds strong appeal to a growing tribe of followers. The story behind the name of 7F is an inspiring concept which reinforces that there is more to it than a uniquely engineered timepiece.

As gleaned from its website, "SEVENFRIDAY is a global lifestyle brand that creates industrial inspired watches, eyewear, apparel and accessories for individuals around the world who live everyday like it’s Friday

Pushing and challenging the norms within the industry according to our own beliefs, dreams and experiences, SEVENFRIDAY is a Life attitude

‘Show me don’t Tell Me’ is our brand tagline: emotional instead of rational, action instead of words, creativity instead of unquestioned standards

Join the community and share the #liveSEVENFRIDAY attitude!"

My take is that we will be buying wrist watches still such as 7F. While our mobile phones can tell time, they can't show us how to lay hold on an attitude and live by it moment by moment, which that 'wristband' reminds us in our face whenever we check in.

Tokidoki is Up and Coming Globally

Passion has its rewards. Never despise the days of small beginning. If you or your child like to draw figurines, go for it. You can go far as with Charles M. Schulz's Snoopy and Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse.

There is no lack of ideas or creativity. As you assimilate new experiences, you will be inspired to make that which is your own. Dream big; do not limit yourselves.

Sometimes all it takes is a new spin to blow your mind with what human beings can create.

Today is a great day to get acquainted with tokidoki which means sometimes in Japanese, literally.

While inspired by Japanese culture such as anime, tokidoki was co-founded by Simone Legno who was born in Rome, Italy.

By the way, itsumo is the Japanese word for always. Any takers?

Nebula - Interstellar Cloud

We live in a colourful world.

If you have ever wondered whether you can see clouds beyond different shades of white and grey, things are looking up for you.

According to Wikipedia, "A nebula (Latin for 'cloud' or 'fog'; pl. nebulae, nebulæ or nebulas) is an interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Originally, the term was used to describe any diffused astronomical object, including galaxies beyond the Milky Way. The Andromeda Galaxy, for instance, was once referred to as the Andromeda Nebula (and spiral galaxies in general as "spiral nebulae") before the true nature of galaxies was confirmed in the early 20th century by Vesto Slipher, Edwin Hubble and others."

Here is sample of nebulas to add colours to your insights of the magnificence of God's creation:-

Unwind with Cello and Saxophone Music

Music is food for your soul kind of like what a signature cocktail or savoury dish does to your body.

Sound is everywhere even in silence. Music is co-ordinated sound which is custom made from an instrument and each musician will sound differently even through identical instruments.

Go the Distance with FBT Sportswear

The prices of sportswear and equipment have continued to rise over the years and it is getting expensive to be well kitted for your sports. With the likes of Adidas, Nike, Puma and Under Armour pouring big bucks into marketing and research, you can be assured of paying even more in future.

Well, there are lesser known brands such as Umbro and Lotto which may offer more palatable pricing for similar quality.

Lesser known still is FBT from Thailand which you may wish to checkout for their sportswear with an attractive value for money proposition which you will find to be a bargain after you are better acquainted with its logo.

Never stop believing, inter alia, that you can find a good bargain.

Make the Most of 2021

One clear takeaway from year 2020 was that we were all pretty much in the same boat donning masks like never before. With the rollout of vaccines to fight Covid-19 in this new year 2021, things are looking up barring any unforeseen global crisis.

Year of the Ox, 2021

Life goes on with a less severe new normal, and it is up to you to make the most of it for yourself, your loved ones and your community. One fresh impetus which I have gathered is to eat your frog and the best time to do so is in the morning.

In gist, tackle your number 1 problem in the morning. Make it a priority and give it your best shot by taking aim at it everyday till you are through with it.

My closest examination of a frog is when some school mates had to dissect one each duly knocked out with chloroform in a metal tray as part of their biology curriculum. Time to roll up your sleeves and toast your frog. It will be well worth it.

Another suggestion is to expand your horizon and explore this beautiful planet called Earth while dreaming of populating Mars.
