In Many Words


If you enjoy saying things in a lengthy or round about way, then the following two clips may be of some interest to you:-

Speaking of books, George Crabbe described them as:

"Silent they are, but, though deprived of sound
Here all the living languages abound;
Here all that live no more, preserved they lie,
In tombs that open to the curious eye."

And, this one came from some health journal I vaguely recall:

"Normal, legally-sanctioned exercise of conjugal rights with one's spouse is known to produce endorphins which have very pleasant and relaxing effects on the body."
